This magnificent cotton piece is handwoven by our artisan partners, and speak to generations of weaving knowledge.
The rebozo remains a key part of the national dress in Mexico. From big cities to pueblos in remote mountainous regions, these infamous garments continue with the work that they have historically always done. Babies are wrapped in these cloths when they are born, women are presented with delicate textiles on their wedding day, and many women are also buried in their favorite rebozo – completing the cycle from birth to death. No other clothing piece resonates in a Mexican life quite so deeply.
While our curated selection of pieces can transition beautifully as multipurpose lengths of material that are used for the traditional purposes mentioned above, they may also simply serve as an elegant way to adorn your neck or the foot of your bed.
